Believe it or not, EPMD has a new album coming out. I know, I was surprised too. It comes out Dec 9th. No seriously, it really is. It's called, We Mean Business. These guys still manage to work the word "business" into every single album title they've had since 1986. I guess they're not playing around.

The Wackness Drops Their Purple Tape.
The Purple Tape. Any Hip-Hop head knows the reference immediately. When Raekwon dropped Only Built For Cuban Linx and it came out on a purple cassette, kids were blown away. Not to mention the music was next level.
Well, the upcoming movie, The Wackness, is trying to recapture that nostalgia. The movie—which follows a weed-dealing teenager in the summer of 1994 in NYC—features a soundtrack filled with classic ’90s New York rap shit that will get you in that summertime mood. It's only fitting that they gave out a special (purple) mixtape at the screenings with 35 classic joints that didn’t make the soundtrack. With acts like Biggie, The Wu, Tribe and Nas, it’s an ill collector’s item for the rap junkie who has everything. But don't worry, if you weren't able to cop the actual tape...we got the digital version for your iPods.

The Headbanger.
EPMD + Redman = Classic. Reggie Noble is one of the greatest of all time. This was one of the hardest songs of the 90s.
True story: I used to listen to this song (on cassette) before basketball games to get me pumped up and ready to play.

[NEW] EPMD - "Run It" (Remix feat. KRS-One)
Whaaaaaat? Talk about nostalgic. There haven't been this many legends on one mic since the last episode of Yo! MTV Raps.
EPMD - "Run it" (Remix feat. KRS-One)
P.S. EPMD's cover for Unfinished Business is one of the all time underrated album covers. Both of them are rocking matching jumpsuits, golden chains, bucket hats and maybe the freshest shoes ever made, the Jordan III's. Erick Sermon is sitting on a tricked out Camaro with gold rims. You couldn't define 1989 better if you tried.
