Akon Lied on his Street Cred Application

Reports are surfacing that the R&B star who came out the gates singing about how much he was "Locked Up" actually lied about his criminal past. In previous interviews, the singer said he headed up an infamous car-theft ring that specialized in boosting hi-end cars like Ferraris, Lambos and Porsches, and spend more than four years behind bars on felony charges. But according to The Smoking Gun it turns out the only “hard time” Akon did for 5 months.... for stealing a single BMW. Not much of a crime ring if you ask me. Akon is looking more like a con-man than a con-vict.
