So a friend of a friend attended the Heart of the City Tour featuring Jay-Z and Mary J in Los Angeles, and after the concert was over there were some "entrepreneurs" selling souvenir T-Shirts to help the passionate concert goers remember their life changing experience for the rest of eternity. Only one problem...
They got the wrong Jay...
Now I understand that most people might not know that the dude on the shirt is actually J Dilla, aka Jay Dee (RIP)...but who in their right mind would actually think that its Jay-Z? Even my mom knows what Jay-Z looks like.
So the people selling these shirts either:
(A) Have never seen Jay-Z in their life, and don't know how to use Google Images.
(B) Didn't realize they used the wrong photo until after them pressed 10,000 shirts then said fuck it and tried to sell them anyway, thinking that the people who just spent $100 to watch Jay-Z for an hour wouldn't recognize him.
(C) Think all black people look the same.
(D) Are idiots.
I wonder how many shirts they sold. I think I would have bought one just on principle.
And just for the record...
IS NOT
Thanks to Nicole for being so cool. Thanks to Victor for the legendary photos.
