Dope concept. Every year at the NBA All-Star break, Pepsi throws the Pepsi Smash concert series. They flipped it and did a live cypher from Arizona, with 5 different MC's in 5 different locations...passing the proverbial mic. Check it out, it's pretty fly. This might be the best Pepsi commercial of all time.

The Jim Jones Experience - Part 2.
Even if you're not a fan of Jim Jones, you need to watch this for the sheer comedy alone. Trust me. Jimmy's also higher than Redman on an airplane. In part 2, Capo talks about his upcoming album and the state of the game. Hilarity ensues.

[NEW] Asher Roth (ft. Jim Jones) - I Love College (Remix)

You couldn't pick 2 completely opposite people to put on the same track, but evidentially Jimmy is a big fan of Asher and threw this little remix together. Capo talks about his one semester of college life. I'm sure he learned a lot.
Fun Fact: Asher is coming through on Thursday for an interview. Yup. Hip Hop Official bringing you that newness for '09.

New Releases: July 1st
Its new music tuesday, so lets get you caught up on what's dropping today so you can have some new music to bump at your 4th of July parties, because we both know you don't want to be that guy stuck listening to music from 2002.
G-Unit - "T.O.S: Terminate On Sight"
First up, everyone's favorite Guerillas, the G-G-G-G Unit drops their second studio album as a group. This one is called T.O.S: Terminate On Sight, and the name refers to them “aggressively” taking aim at the competition. Gee, that's a change of pace for the Unit - it's good to see 50 raising the bar. Ironically, Young Buck, who was kicked out of G-Unit, still appears on this album...Evidently, there's some dispute about 50 owing Buck money, and vice versa, so maybe having Buck on this record is like making him wash dishes when he can't pay his dinner tab. You get to eat, but it's embarrassing as hell.
Jim Jones presents Byrd Gang - "M.O.B."
Up next, Diplomats CEO Jim Jones (Baaaaaaallin) introduces his new rap group the Byrd Gang, which consists of himself, Mel Matrix, NOE, Freeky Zeaky, Sandman, Oshy, and producer Chick Santana...ummm, who? Who knows, but it you're a fan of the Diplo Capo, go cop that. Hey, it's your money, not mine.
Tech N9ne - "Killer"
Straight outta Kansas City, Missouri, a crazy muthafucker named Tech N9ne drops his double disc “Killer” which features 32 tracks including appearances from Ice Cube, Scarface, and Paul Wall. If you know Tech, then you know this joint will be all killer, no filler...And look at that cover, how could you say no to that? I couldn't. I know it's only July, but let's just crown this the album cover of the year. Sorry Weezy.
Paul Wall - "Already Famous"
And last, but not least, the grill master -- no, not George Forman – Houston native Paul Wall drops Already Famous, which would have been a better title about 2 years ago. He is even still famous? The album (which is so massive, it doesn't even have cover art on Amazon) features Slim Thug, and Mike Jones, who? Mike Jooooones.
