[NEW] Jay Electronica - "Swagger Jackson's Return"

This guy's level >>> your level.
Jay Elecronica is on some next shit. I'm mesmerized every time I hear something new from him. I'm constantly saying to myself, "how does he think of this." No disrespect to Q-Tip, but this Jay Electronica cat is poetically abstract. That's my word.

[NEW] Gnarls Barkley (ft. Jota Flowers) - "Who's Going To Save My Soul" (Jay Electronica Remix)

Jota Flowers = Jay Electronica.
I don't know how official this is. Something tells me Jay Electronica just spit a verse to this and blasted it out to the internet. Regardless, he murders it. Jay Elect is one of the sickest emcees in the world right now. Look for him to do some amazing things in 2009. The best part of this is you can hear Jay's Blackberry going off during the recording. That's not there on purpose, it's some VH1 Behind the Music type stuff.

[NEW] Jay Electronica - "Exhibit A" (Transformations) [FINAL]

I posted this track earlier, but it wasn't the final version. Just Blaze was nice enough to mix and master it, and throw the final version on his blog. Now I present it to you.
This one is produced by Just Blaze and appears on a compilation album called Fresh Cuts Vol. 3 (Music By Guitar Center Employees). The more I hear from Jay Electronica, the more i like him. His abstract wordplay and imagery is top notch. I can tell he's starting to find his voice and is taking full advantage. This is a must listen, the lyrics are sharper than a box of knives.
"I swam down Shit's Creek and came up clean,
With a new lease on life like Andy Dufresne."

Jay Electronica - "Dimethyltryptamine" + "Victory In My Clutches" [LIVE]
Jay Electronica rips 2 songs for the crowd: "Dimethyltryptamine" + "Victory Is In My Clutches." This guy is talented. You can tell he's still new to performing live, but he has a dope flow and stage presence.
If you're not up on Jay Electronica, go here. You won't be disappointed.
As an added bonus, here are mp3 versions of the 2 songs he performed:

Who Is Jay Electronica?
Hip Hop Official sits down with the enigmatic emcee/producer Jay Electronica. His name has been buzzing, but nobody really seem to know who he is. Jay has been notorious for remaining behind the scenes, and usually doesn't do interviews, so this is a treat. I had the pleasure of conducting this interview, and let me say it was one of the most unique interviews I have ever been a part of. Jay is extremely humble, passion, and highly introspective. He doesn't have your typical outlook on the world and looks at things uniquely, which is very refreshing. Enjoy the interview. This is one of my favorite segments I've had the pleasure of producing, and I think it turned out well. I'm looking forward to hearing more from Jay Electronica.
He gets compared a lot to Nas, but I feel like he has a MF Doom/Killah Priest vibe to him. Stream of consciousness rap with abstract wordplay and imagery. If you haven't heard any of his music, here's your Clif's Notes cram session.
