ARTIST OF THE WEEK: 6th Sense.

Since it's the start of the 6th month of the year, it's only right that 6th Sense sets it off as our first Artist of the Week for June. But it goes beyond simple mathematics... 6th is nice, yo. The NY rapper/producer is killin the game right now, and everything that he touches seems to break necks. Although he started rapping first, lately he's been making a name for himself with the beats, working with everyone and their momma including Outasight, The Kid Daytona, Mick Boogie, UNI, Donny Goines, Cook Classics and Evidence...just to name a few. The resume is too extensive to put it all here, and quite frankly you don't have enough time to read it all. But if you're not familiar with the music, it's time to heighten your awareness take notice of 6th Sense.

This is dope. Six talented hip hop artists: Cook Classics, 6th Sense, Outasight, Tunji, Nieve, and TiRon stopped by the VIMBY compound (which happens to be around the corner) for some late noon freestyles. The homie 6th Sense shot this over, it's a pretty dope teaser for The Kid Daytona's upcoming mixtape, The Daytona 500. He's gonna have all the producers who worked on his forthcoming studio album flip the Nautilus sample that Ghostface used for his track "Daytona 500". Then he's gonna spit to it, and put it out as a mixtape to get you ready for this upcoming album Come Fly With Me.

Outasight is incredibly talented. He won MTVU's "The Freshman" for his track "Good Evening." He has an album dropping this summer called From Here To Eternity. This is his album prequel, "From There To Here." Executive produced by 6th Sense. Presented by the ever so dope Mick Boogie. It's free. What else could you ask for?

Fuck that's a long title. But it's worth it. This track is fire. For those slow thinking followers of the blog (I don't discriminate), 6th Sense and Wildabeast are a duo also known as Both Nice. It's clever, I know. 6th does the beats, and also rhymes. Wildabeast is a beast. They did a song called "Arcade Fly (Remix)" in which they asked fellow emcees Buff1, Donny Goines, U-N-I, and Fashawn to jump on and murder. This is that track. Mission complete.
