He's joined by his friend, mentor, and legendary producer 88-Keys, who has been supporting him and providing sage-like advice since the jump. Also, we happened to have the cameras rolling when CuDi meets fellow Ohio-native and beatsmith extraordinaire DJ Hi-Tek for the first time ever. Dope moment. I think Hip Hop Official might have just helped broker a production deal between these two. If Tek produces a track for Cudders upcoming album, you know where you saw it first. I had a chance to chop it up with CuDi at SXSW, and honestly, I was impressed with the dude's demeanor and genuineness. At first he seemed like he didn't want to talk, but he really opened and gave a really dope in depth interview. You get a sense that he's really passionate about his music and loves his fans. That's a good formula for success in music.

We just returned back to L.A. from a crazy, intense, wild, exhausting, exhilarating, amazing week at South By Southwest 2009. It's been a long time coming [||] but this video turned out pretty dope. It will be interesting to see how the masses take to CuDi. He's a little out there eclectic, but has Kanye and the G.O.O.D. family backing him. I hope the world doesn't expect every CuDi song to sound like this because it won't. Expect less rap, but more singing and harmonies. Don't say I didn't warn you.
