DJ QUIK x NIKE COMMERCIAL.

These are the first pics from a new Nike ad campaign called "Hyperize" that features the legendary DJ Quik and a handful of NBA ballers decked out in old school attire. Something tells me this is going to be good.

Check the photos, and stayed tuned for the commercial when it drops.

Fashawn x Exile.

Yesterday Fashawn and Exile came through the HHO Studios to bless us with an interview and live performance with a few cuts from Fashawn's upcoming album, Boy Meets World. Exile produced the whole thing, and trust me when I tell you the album is going to be fire. Stay tuned for the footage in the next month or so. Shout out to the homie DJ Mister Mike for the photos.

And of course, everyone who comes through needs to leave their signature on the board.

[PHOTOS] U-N-I Release Party @ The Viper Room.

Last night we attended UNI's album release party for A Love Supreme at the Viper Room in Los Angeles. It was a great look for L.A. and hip hop in general. The house was packed from the windows to the wall. You name em, they were in the building. Everybody and their momma was there....and yes, even Y-O's mom was in attendance. It was a beautiful thing. Shout out to Thurzday, Y-O, Chris London, Evidence, CurT@!ns, E-Dub, Eazee, Chris Focus, El Prez, Dale Danja, Cook Classics, Greg The Dude, 6th Sense, Shawn Chrystopher, Basicali, DJ Lady Sha, H.O.P.E., Bambu, Verbs, Val the Vandle, Hallway Jay, Meka, Devi Dev, Tamika from VIMBY, and I know I'm forgetting people, so shout out to you too. Special shout out to the tall dude with the long hair who got it crackin in the mosh pit. That dude had the most fun all night.

U-N-I performed for damn near an hour, rocking songs from their first album, Fried Chicken and Watermelon, as well as their Before There Was Love Mixtape, and of course the new album, A Love Supreme. Check the photos below.

Kanye's Complex Magazine Shoot.

Go behind the scenes to see how Kanye, Chris Milk and Complex made this futuristic photo shoot using the latest technology. It included an interview with Yeezy himself as well as the photographer. The video is very interesting. This isn't your typical fashion shoot, they used some very high tech design for it. I think the photos turned out dope. See below.

Shout out to Complex for sending these over. Check out their website, it's mad official. This is one of the few magazines I read on the regular.

SXSW 2009.

We just returned back to L.A. from a crazy, intense, wild, exhausting, exhilarating, amazing week at South By Southwest 2009. Stay tuned because we have some incredible interviews coming your way from out there including Big Boi, Reflectional Eternal, Kid CuDi, 88-Keys, Jadakiss, Styles P, Asher Roth, Cool Kids, Zion I, Mistah Fab, Pac Div, U-N-I, and so much more. I could keep talking about it, but that would prevent me from actually finishing producing them. So until then, enjoy some camera phone photos, and keep on refreshing for tons of dope content from this year's SXSW festival.

Jannelle Monae rocking at our showcase.

Illa J.

We set up an interview with Illa J yesterday at Fat Beats in Los Angeles. Very cool and humble dude. For those of you not knowing, he's J Dilla's little brother and is releasing an album on Delicious Vinyl on Nov. 4th (Election Day) called Yancy Boys in which he rhymes over old Dilla beats, circa '95. This kid has serious talent, not to mention he's a splitting image of Jay Dee. It's crazy.

It was dope talking to him about his family and older brother. He had some cool stories about the entire Yancy family, who are all talented musicians in their own right. He basically grew up in a house full of musicians, so music is almost second nature to him. Besides, having Dilla making beats for the likes of the Pharcyde, Tibe, Common, and De La in your basement when you're a little kid couldn't hurt either.

Here are some pics from the day. interview coming shortly...
