We hand the mic over to 88-Keys at his record release party at the Standard Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. He walks around the party talking to the people about his new album, "The Death of Adam" and the power of the va-jay-jay. Ladies, you know what I'm talking about...

Finally! A music video from 88-Keys new album! By the way, his brand new album, The Death of Adam, is dope and by coincidence it came out today. You should make sure you own that very soon. It was executive produced by Kanye West, so you know if it's good enough for his stubborn ears it should be good enough for yours.

I attended his album release party last night at the Standard in downtown Los Angeles, so make sure to check back for that. Keys basically took over HHO and ran the show for the evening. Peace to U-N-I, El Prez, Sean G, and J*Davey who were all in (drunken) attendance to support Keys.

This song is kinda dope. For those of you who dont know, these cats went on a country-wide tour called the Fresh Rhymes & Videotape Tour that was evidently very nice. Unfortunately, I missed it. This is their anthem and video. Watch it.

Super producer 88 Keys steps into the rhyming arena with his upcoming album, The Death of Adam (Adam = Man). It's a concept album about what he describes as the "The Power of the Va-Jay-Jay" (We all know about that). The album is due out on October 28th, and is executive produced by a guy named Kanye West.

Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival Recap.

Hip Hop Official was in the house for the 2008 Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival that went down in, well, Brooklyn. KRS-One headlined, and hip-hop vets like DJ Premier, Buckshot, and Keith Murray rocked the stage as well as a bunch of up and coming acts like Mickey Factz, Blu & Exile, and Fresh Daily.

It was a beautiful day full of sunshine, fresh music and positive vibes. Spread love, it's the Brooklyn way.

This tape features Guilty Simpson, Grafh, Mr. Bentley, Serius Jones,and a handfull of other up and coming bar spitters and it's a precursor to the debut solo project The Death of Adam dropping in October. BTW, that album is being executive produced by Mr. Kanye West, so you KNOW that's a good co-sign.
